Client Testimonial - Tracy
Stacey Nolan Young changed my life for the better. In 2008 I began working with her on becoming healthier. My main goal was to have a healthy lifestyle. Through diet, exercise and stress management I was able to achieve this and more.
Stacey worked with me constantly, she was always available via phone or email and was always there to provide guidance. We modified my diet on a monthly basis. Stacey taught me what food was healthy and what misconceptions I had about the food I ate. Stacey went above and beyond, even going grocery shopping with me to help guide me in the right direction. Together we developed a diet that suited my preferences. Diet was the hardest part and Stacey was always there to encourage and modify if needed.
Exercise was challenging, but not impossible. Stacey and I worked together on a weekly basis. Before any exercise she went into detail exactly what we were doing and why. This helped me understand and focus on the muscles we were working. Gradually we built up my muscles, and not only did I notice but other people noticed too. Stacey made sure I was comfortable with all of the exercises and never pushed me beyond my capabilities. Stacey gave me a comfort in the gym that I never had before. I was always timid and shy in the gym because I had no idea of how things worked or what I was supposed to do. Stacey taught me and encouraged me to do my best.
She also looked at stress management. She was always there to talk to and she offered her advice, having made my health her main priority. She offered many tips and suggestions on how to manage stress in my life and I am very appreciative. Stacey truly became more then just a “trainer”, she actually cares. I know that stress management is an issue in my life, but working with Stacey made it easier. The stress, diet and exercise are all connected. She helped me to understand the old pattern of my life and how it was negatively affecting me. There were even aspects that I did not think of such as my teeth grinding. I grind my teeth at night and I hate it.
Changing my diet, managing my stress and exercising helped me to not grind my teeth at night. It might seem like a small aspect, but to me it was important because I want to make sure I take care of myself, including my teeth. But this is just one aspect that changed, there were so many other things.
Within the first couple of months I noticed results. I lost weight. I felt better. I had more energy. I was happier. I even inspired other people to change their lifestyles and become healthier. And Stacey and I discussed failure, that it’s human nature to fall off the wagon and have a night where you get off track. But the important thing was to get back on track as soon as possible. I made mistakes, but she helped me focus on now and on the future and not dwell on the mistakes. I really appreciate the time that I had working with Stacey. She was an excellent trainer and I learned so much from her.
She made a huge impact on my life.
