Machine Based Core Training
By Mark Young

In spinal research labs all around the world they’ve created the fabulous machine you see above. In it they put spines of pigs or humans (pig spines are a lot cheaper) and bend them and extend them until a disc herniates. This is how researchers know so much about what happens with the spine.
You see that little clamp holding on to a disc-like structure on the ride side of the spine above? That’s the disc between L4 and L5 in your lower back and this is exactly that spot where a lot of people have trouble. They’re probably measuring it to see what goes on in that disc before it ruptures when they flex the spine back and forth.
Now I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking “That’s not fair. How can I get a machine that bends and extends my spine until I herniate a disc?”
Well…have no worries. I’ve got just what you’re looking for!

Just head for your local gym and find a machine just like the one above. This “abdominal training machine” is also great for creating herniated discs due to low intensity repetitive motions of bending foward and back.
What’s that? You want more??? No problem.

The back extension machine above is reported to strengthen the lower back. But good news for you!!! It can also help you herniate a disc with the repetitive forward and back motion.
But what if you don’t have one of these fancy machines? Are you out of luck? Can you not herniate a disc too???
You bet your booty you can! Just get on the floor, put you hands behind your head and start cranking out situps or crunches. While you may not be fortunate enough to herniate a disc right away, please be assured that your time will come. Remember that discs don’t get damaged from a single bout of motion. They get damaged from days, months, or years of repetitive motion. But keep at it. You’ll eventually get your dream.
And remember who told you how to do it. On the other hand, if you just want great abs…you might want to try something else.
